AFTER ALL Completes Recording New Album

October 25, 2008

Belgian metallers AFTER ALL have issued the following update:

"Last month we completed the songs we started recording earlier this year. What a trip it's been. We recorded nine brand new slabs of molten metal, next to a nice little intro, a short instrumental piece and an über-heavy metal classic from the 1980s.

"The new album tracks vary from blistering thrash to stomping hard rock and everything in between. Once again, we've been exploring some new grounds, expanding the AFTER ALL sound as we do on each new album. Several songs feature very special guest performances from some of our touring buddies. Who played what will first be revealed exclusively to the members of our new mailing list. In any case: prepare for another METAL ATTACK!

"We'd like to thank engineer Dee J. for a great job. This session probably shortened his life with at least another five years. Thanks also to Jan at the Hype Studios for making us feel at home, once again.

"Next stop is Örebro, Sweden where Dan Swanö (BLOODBATH, HAIL OF BULLETS, NOVEMBERS DOOM) will take care of mixing and mastering the new album.

"In the meantime, we are very pleased to reveal that Gabriel Bueno from Nova Design Works (KATAKLYSM, WALLS OF JERICHO, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER) is finishing up the new album's artwork.

"Expect more about the album title, the artwork, and snippets of the new songs to be revealed in the coming weeks."

AFTER ALL's new album will be released on Dockyard 1 in Europe and Locomotive Records in the U.S.

AFTER ALL released its latest CD, "This Violent Decline", in the U.S. on August 28, 2007 via Locomotive/Dockyard 1/Ryko Distribution. The album was released in Europe in the fall of 2006 via Dockyard 1. The follow-up to 2005's "The Vermin Breed" was recorded by Dee J. at Hype Studio in Mechelen, Belgium and was mixed by Fredrik Nordström (IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY, SOILWORK) at Studio Fredman in Göteborg, Sweden. Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, HATESPHERE) took care of the mastering at Antfarm Studio in Aabyhoj, Denmark.

"This Violent Decline" contains 11 tracks, including a re-recorded version of "Blind Euphoria" (from the 1992 EP "Dusk"). As a bonus track, the album features a video clip for the track "Frozen Skin". Samples are available on AFTER ALL's MySpace page.
