AEROSMITH Singer To Be Honored At MAP AWARDS

The Musicians' Assistance Program will honor AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler, Jimmie Vaughan and John Branca at its 4th annual MAP Awards, Nov. 5 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to Hits Daily Double. The evening, hosted by Sharon Osbourne, will feature performances by Tyler and Vaughan as well as Diane Schuur. Tyler will receive the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award for dedication and support of MAP, Vaughan will be honored with the Buddy Award for his friendship and dedication to the organization, while attorney John Branca will get the MAP Award for years of advocacy and work on behalf of the program. Founded in 1992 by Buddy Arnold and Carole Fields, MAP provides treatment for music industry professionals suffering from drug or alcohol dependency. Preferred seating starts at $25,000, with additional levels at $10,000 and $5,000. Individual tickets are on sale for $500 from Harvin Rogas at Kidd & Co. (310) 559-9334 ex. 162.
