AEROSMITH's 'Ultimate Hits' Certified Double-Platinum

February 9, 2005

AEROSMITH's "O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits" has been certified double-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments in excess of two million copies since its July 2, 2002 release.

Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the group's first signing with Columbia Records, "O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits" was the first-ever AEROSMITH hits collection to include the absolute best from America's greatest rock 'n' roll band's Columbia Records and Geffen Records catalogs as well as two brand-new tracks — "Girls of Summer" and "Lay It Down" — recorded specially for this monumental compilation. In addition to hits running from 1972's "Dream On" through 2001's "Jaded" and beyond, "O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits" includes all four of AEROSMITH's Grammy-winning singles — "Janie's Got A Gun" (1990),"Livin' On The Edge" (1993),"Crazy", and the "South Beach Mix" of "Pink" (1998).
