ACHERON: We Are Not Nazis!

June 16, 2004

On June 21, 2004, Black Lotus Records will be releasing a special ACHERON double-CD featuring 32 of the Columbus, Ohio-based black/death metal cult band's past songs digitally re-mastered. The collection, titled "Decade Infernus 1988-1998", will reportedly "put the listeners on a journey from the band's first classic album 'Rites of the Black Mass' to their 1998 masterpiece 'Those Who Have Risen'." It will be a special slipcase edition, with a limited pressing of 3,000 copies. Artwork was done by Timo Wuertz.

In other ACHERON-related news, the band have issued the following response to "some of the mindless rants that various people have been posting" on the BLABBERMOUTH.NET comment boards:

"First off, ACHERON is an anti-religious, Satanic band! We are not WW2 Nazis, nor do we adhere to any political views. We may use aesthetics that are not politically correct, but we are not a part of any political party. Our philosophies stem more from 'The Satanic Bible', 'Might Is Right' and 'The Antichrist' than from something like 'Mein Kampf'. So before you spread some lies, get the facts straight. But we do admit to hating one race... the human race!

"Second, ACHERON is no longer linked to the Church Of Satan. So when you post 'ACHERON is a Church Of Satan band', you have no idea what you are talking about. ACHERON is still a Satanic band, but we are linked to no organizations anymore. Band founder Vincent Crowley resigned from the Church Of Satan three years ago."
