ACCEPT: Tour Diary, Photos Posted Online

May 1, 2005

ACCEPT guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and the group's manager, Gaby Hoffmann (Wolf's wife),have posted several updates from their current European tour on Joe Schlared's Accept Home Page with U.D.O.. Gaby's latest entry (dated May 1, 2005) reads as follows:

"It has been very, very hectic and we had so many interviews and dinners and traveling to do, that there has not been much time — Internet and phone did not work very well in Russia either. But — the shows worked so great and the Russian fans have been amazing and we were treated like kings. What a beginning!

"Russia has changed so much, that it is hard to believe. Moscow is now like other world cities and has so many cars, that the traffic jams are permanent and it is very difficult to go from one place to another. They have now shopping malls and boutiques like in Berlin or Paris. Of course there are many things different than in the Western world, but they are like a giant who is slowly awakening and it is unimaginable to predict, how this is going to be in 10 or 20 years from now. We were fascinated all the way through and enjoyed the little glimpses of culture we could get. Especially in St. Petersburg, we got a lot of it......

"Here is a very sweet and special story: At our first official dinner in St. Petersburg Udo Dirkschneider gave me the beautiful bouquet of red roses — can you imagine???? I could not believe, that he would do such a thing, but — the band insisted, that Udo stopped the limousine specially to buy the roses for ME! So, people started to talk about that and somehow it ended there, that it was believed that Wolf and I had an anniversary to celebrate — which was true! However, from that minute on, where ever Wolf and I went, we got bouquets — the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen and they filmed and took pictures of Wolf and me and wished us happiness on Russian national TV..... it was so unreal and we could not believe it! In Minsk, when we arrived, camera teams where there and again — flowers for me!!!! We had so much fun, so much fun — awesome!!!! Who would have ever thought, that we would get such a treatment! Russian hospitality was unbelievable and I guess the girls in Russia are most beautiful, really!!!!

"Tomorrow we are on our way back to my beloved America!!!!!! Can't wait to be home again!!!!"
