ACCEPT Confirmed For Germany's WACKEN OPEN AIR Festival

Legendary metal band ACCEPT have been confirmed for the 2005 edition of Germany's Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place August 4-6 in Wacken. The band's appearance at Wacken and Rock Hard Festival (on May 13-15 in Gelsenkirchen) will mark their only two performances in Germany next summer.

ACCEPT's reunion lineup to celebrate the group's 25th anniversary will most likely consist of original members Udo Dirkschneider (vocals), Wolf Hoffman (guitars) and Peter Baltes (bass). Whether original drummer Stefan Kaufmann and guitar player Jörg Fischer will be part of the reunited lineup has yet to be determined.

ACCEPT are expected to announce several other festival appearances next summer, including Sweden Rock in Sweden and Gods of Metal in Italy.
