AC/DC: Yellow-Vinyl Copy Of 'Let There Be Rock' Sold For $2,700

February 5, 2005

According to a posting on the ACDCCollector.com web site, a very unique, mega-rare AC/DC "Let There Be Rock" U.K. LP (Atlantic K50366) pressed on yellow vinyl was recently sold on eBay for $2,703.03. Believed to be the only one of its kind (or if others exist, there would be no more than three copies worldwide),the album was allegedly printed when someone at the record plant in the U.K. where the original album was produced decided to create a one-off pressing. The same plant has produced the "Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" 12-inch single on yellow vinyl as well (only one copy is known to exist),and also on blue vinyl (two copies have been seen worldwide),so it is also possible that a blue "Let There Be Rock" may exist, or perhaps other colors, or perhaps yellow or blue pressings of other AC/DC albums. These items are extremely rare, and are likely LE 2 or unique pressings altogether.
