ABYSMAL DAWN Guitarist/Vocalist: New Album Is 'Sounding Amazing So Far!'

November 27, 2007

Vocalist/ guitarist Charles Elliott of the Los Angeles-based extreme metal band ABYSMAL DAWN has issued the following update on the progress of the recording sessions for the group's sophomore release:

"Just a quick update to let everyone know that things have been coming along quite nicely with the recording of our second record. We recently finished tracking all the guitars, bass and drums at John Haddad's (EYES OF FIRE, INTRONAUT) new studio in Corona, CA and it's sounding amazing so far! Some rough mixing has already begun and the tracks already sound better than 'From Ashes'!

"Vocals should be recorded in about a month's time at which point we'll start shopping the material for a new label and start playing some more shows again. We filmed a ton of footage while we were recording and we hope to have some of it up for you to check out soon."

ABYSMAL DAWN recently parted ways with the Crash Music Inc. label. The group's debut album, "From Ashes", was released in April 2006 via Crash Music It was engineered, mixed and mastered by John Haddad at Shiva Industries. The band toured in support of that album last fall alongside SIX FEET UNDER, KRISIUN and DECAPITATED. ABYSMAL DAWN has also played with reunited black metal legends EMPEROR and IMMORTAL.
