ABYSMAL DAWN Added To California Shows On 'Death By Decibels' Tour

September 11, 2008

Los Angeles, California's ABYSMAL DAWN has been added to the Hollywood and Oakland shows on the upcoming Death By Decibels 2008 tour featuring KATAKLYSM, DYING FETUS, ELUVEITIE and KEEP OF KALESSIN:

Oct. 12 - The Key Club - Hollywood, CA
Oct. 14 - The Metro - Oakland, CA

ABYSMAL DAWN recently finished filming the first video for its brand new album "Programmed to Consume". The clip, for the CD's title track, was shot in the band's hometown with director Gary Smithson (TOMAHAWK, HIGH ON FIRE, GOATWHORE).

Still images from the video shoot can be viewed on the band's MySpace page.

ABYSMAL DAWN recently parted ways with longtime guitarist Jamie Boulanger. According to the band, "Jamie has other priorities that he needs to take care of in his life, including his new baby girl. We wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavors."

Boulanger's replacement in ABYSMAL DAWN is Ian Jekelis of ARTISAN, who filled in for the band's past two tours.

ABYSMAL DAWN's Relapse Records debut, "Programmed to Consume", came out in May. An e-card for the CD can be accessed at this location.

"Programmed to Consume" was recorded last November with producer John Haddad (INTRONAUT, PHOBIA, EYES OF FIRE).

ABYSMAL DAWN has posted a "Making Of Programmed To Consume" video, featuring footage of the recording sessions for the band's latest release. Watch the clip below.
