ABRUPTUM: 'Evil Genius' Re-Release Due In January

ABRUPTUM, the Swedish black metal band founded in 1990 by IT (a.k.a. Tony Särkkä), will have its 1995 album, "Evil Genius", re-released on January 26, 2007 via Black Lodge Records. The remastered LP will be issued in a special digipack containing new cover artwork, a bonus track and a newly written letter/statement from IT. The album will also be released in the U.S. on a license by Southern Lord.

Originally released via hellspawn, "Evil Genius" consists of material from ABRUPTUM's two demo tapes, "Abruptum" and "The Satanist Tunes", that were released in 1990 and a 7" single, "Evil", which came out in 1991.
