ABORTED Forced To Drop Off CRYPTOPSY Tour

August 28, 2006

Belgian death metallers ABORTED have issued the following update:

Well, this tour [with CRYPTOPSY] has been quite the debacle. We had to cancel Malmo [Sweden] since the bus broke down in Denmark and we were stuck there the whole day which sucked ass. Luckily for the fans, CRYPTOPSY did make it at the last minute, and apparently they tore it up! We apologize to the fans there waiting to see us, but we only found out last minute we wouldn't make it, sucks.... Secondly, Matty [guitar] had some problems with his working situation so last minute we had to cancel our participation to the rest of the tour since he might have lost his job over this. Our boys in VISCERAL BLEEDING are taking over for the other dates and I'm sure they will do the killing in our stead. All you guys out there, no worries, we're planning a full offensive next year with the new album! Now it's time to play Stockholm, see you guys there!"

ABORTED's "The Auricular Chronicles" DVD is scheduled for release in October through Listenable Records. The set will contain a 13-camera shoot of a live show in Paris, France, plus promotional video clips, backstage shenanigans, other live shows, interviews with all bandmembers and more.

ABORTED has set "Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture" as the title of its follow-up to "The Archaic Abattoir", tentatively due in early 2007 via Listenable. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "The Chondrin Enigma", "Prolific Murder Contrivance", "Archetype: Malice And Scorn", "Avenious" and "The Spaying Séance". The album will feature guest appearances by Jeff Walker (CARCASS) and Barney Greenway (NAPALM DEATH).
