ABLOOM (formerly MOTHRA),the Los Angeles-based group featuring former SOULFLY members Mikey Doling (guitar),Marcello D. Rapp (bass),and Roy Mayorga (drums),have been in the studio with SYSTEM OF A DOWN bassist Shavo Odadjian recording a "nonstop slew of demos," which the band are currently using to procure a record deal, according to an official press release. One track, "What You Came For" can currently be heard on the band's official site, www.abloommusic.com, or at www.streetwise.com. On January 2, the band previewed two songs on their website for just 24 hours. They eventually "surrendered to demand" and added "What You Came For" as a permanent fixture to the site. This track along with the appropriately titled, "January 2nd" created such a stir, that the band will be posting one more song, "After That Quiet", this coming Monday, March 1 for another 24 hours.

Upcoming ABLOOM shows:
