A Human Shrine To JUDAS PRIEST: Photo Available

March 17, 2005

Salford Advertiser has issued the following report:

Hard rocking security guard Geoff Hodgson has become a human shrine to his heavy metal "gods" JUDAS PRIEST.

The 48-year-old superfan from Eccles, England has had his back tattooed (photo) with most of the Birmingham rockers’ album covers and got his latest one done just in time for the band's gigs in Manchester next week.

Geoff works at West One retail park in Ladywell by day and worships metal god and JUDAS frontman Rob Halford by night.

He said: "The band have been my favourites since I saw them at Hard Rock in Stretford in 1975. They are metal gods and I can't wait to see them when they play in Manchester next week when I've got tickets for both nights. My favorite album is called 'Painkiller', which isn't very apt when it comes to tattoos.

"I've got the all the albums they've done with original singer Rob Halford. He left the band 12 years ago, so I've not got the others they released in the meantime — but they've got back together for this tour so I'm looking forward to it.

"The tattoos started two years ago and I've just got my latest one done two weeks ago ready for the gigs. I've not got the new album on there yet and I'll struggle to fit it on, but I'm sure I'll manage it.

"I've got many tattoos all over my body and I'm really into them.

"I get them done by my mate called Eddy in Little Hulton; he does them at his home and I totally trust him to do a good job."
