A CANOROUS QUINTET Reunite Under New Name

Several members of the now-defunct Swedish band A CANOROUS QUINTET have announced plans to carry on playing together under a new name, THE PLAGUE.

A CANOROUS QUINTET was formed in 1991 by Fredrik Andersson (AMON AMARTH),Mårten Hansen and Linus Nirbrant and the lineup was completed with the addition of Leo Pignon and Jesper Löfgren. The band released an EP, "As Tears", and two full-length albums, "Silence of the World Beyond" and "The Only Pure Hate". A CANOROUS QUINTET has been inactive since 1998.

THE PLAGUE has been working on new material since early 2005 and has come up with over 13 songs so far. Three songs were chosen for the demo "Let The World Burn" and were recorded at Offbeat studio in Stockholm. It was produced by Linus Nirbrant.
