ZYKLON Premier New Material At London Gig

June 17, 2003

Norway's ZYKLON, the band featuring Zamoth (a.k.a. Samoth) and Trym of EMPEROR, premiered material from their forthcoming album, "Aeon", at London's famed Camden Underworld on June 6.

"Aeon", set for worldwide release in early September, is starting to catch early fan and media attention as expectations for the album are already high. Samoth says, "the new line-up works perfectly and this time we were a lot more prepared as a band before entering the studio. The album has a lot more depth to it. Both the production and the song structures are, in general, heavier and I feel we've managed to create a stronger variation in the songs as well. 'Aeon' is definitely a step up from [the debut album] 'World of Worms'."

Album art for "Aeon" has been created by long-time friend and accomplished artist Stephen O'Malley (EMPEROR, BURZUM, DARKTHRONE). The album, which was recorded at Akkerhaugen Lydstudio in Norway and mixed at Studio Fredman with Fredrik Nordström in Sweden, features guest contributions from VOID's Ocd and RED HARVEST's Ofu Kahn (both courtesy of Nocturnal Art Productions). It again features lyrics penned by Faust (EMPEROR),and marks the recording debut with the group of new vocalist/bassist Secthdamon.

The final track listing for "Aeon" is as follows:

01. Psyklon Aeon
02. Core Solution
03. Subtle Manipulation
04. Two Thousand Years
05. No Name Above the Names
06. The Prophetic Method
07. Speciment Eruption
08. Electric Current
09. An Eclectic Manner
