ZEBRA To Headline New Orleans Fund-Raiser

June 10, 2004

Veteran hard rockers ZEBRA will headline a special fund-raiser this weekend in Metairie, Louisiana to benefit St. Christopher Church and School, according to The Times-Picayune.

"This is going to be the ultimate reunion," said Chris Santos, president of the Men's Club. "ZEBRA wanted to come back to play a concert here at St. Christopher because this is where they started (their career). And the Men's Club was looking for a fund-raiser to help the parish defray the cost of renovating the convent into a new parish office. So, the concert was a way to put the two things together."

The concert will be Saturday at 6 p.m. at St. Christopher, 3900 Derbigny St., Metairie. Also scheduled to perform are PENNY LANE and THE CHEE WEEZ.

Tickets are $17 per person and must be purchased before Saturday's concert.

"Only 2,000 tickets will be sold for this event and we do expect a sellout," Santos said.

Tickets can be bought online through www.ticketweb.com or by calling (866) 468-7630. Tickets will be held at the "will call" booth at St. Christopher on Saturday. Santos said you must have a picture identification and the credit card number on which the tickets were charged for verification. Read more.
