Patrick Orr of Boise's The Idaho Statesman has issued the following report:Things got Wylde at The Big Easy this afternoon, and a concert scheduled for tonight got canceled soon after. Boise Police were summoned to the concert club around 3 p.m. after getting a call about a possible fight. When they arrived, they found that considerable damage had been done inside The Big Easy. Witnesses said the damage was done by guitarist Zakk Wylde using a baseball bat, Boise police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower said. Officers detained Wylde and another man, Charles Hurd, for about a half hour. Nobody involved wanted to press charges, so the case was dropped, police said. Wylde, longtime guitarist for metal vocalist OZZY OSBOURNE, was scheduled to play at The Big Easy tonight with his band, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. The gig was nixed shortly after the afternoon incident. “The show was canceled due to illness,” Big Easy co-owner Paul Thornton said. Thornton would not comment further.
