YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Singer To Perform With M3

May 26, 2004

Former RAINBOW and current YNGWIE MALMSTEEN vocalist Doogie White will be joining M3 for a few songs at several shows on their upcoming U.K. tour. M3, of course, is the "classic WHITESNAKE" tribute band featuring Bernie Marsden (guitar, ex-WHITESNAKE),Micky Moody (guitar, ex-WHITESNAKE),Neil Murray (ex-WHITESNAKE, BLACK SABBATH),Jimmy Copley (drums, ex-PAUL RODGERS, GILLAN),and Mark Stanway (keyboards, ex-MAGNUM).

Commented Doogie: "I have always been a huge fan of WHITESNAKE in all the guises over the years. I lost count of how many times I saw them at the Glasgow Apollo in the '70s and '80s. I even roadied for them on the 'Come and Get It' tour and have my wee laminate to prove it. So to be able to sing some of these songs with three of the guys who created them is very special. I don't know which songs I will be singing, but it doesn't matter as I know the whole lot."

Sweden's Stefan Berggren (SNAKES IN PARADISE, COMPANY OF SNAKES, RAZORBACK) is the other singer involved in the upcoming dates.

M3 dates featuring Doogie White:

"I've known Stefan for a couple of years now, he is good friends with Joakim Svalberg, Yngwie's keyboard player, so there will be some friendly competition I'm sure," Doogie said. " I haven't played in Scotland for years, never made it with RAINBOW and never made it with Yngwie — and LaPaz was a very long time ago. So I hope that a few old faces will show up and sing along like we all used to do."
