YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Singer Checks In From Europe

July 2, 2005

YNGWIE MALMSTEEN frontman Doogie White has posted the following message on his official web site:

"The [YNGWIE MALMSTEEN European] tour is drawing to an end but I must let you all know how much fun we had at Graspop [Metal Meeting] in Belgium. The day was made up of a stellar performance from [YNGWIE J. MALMSTEEN] and the band and then we went and hung out. I spent a good hour chatting with Ronnie Dio and Rudy Sarzo. Then Bruce Dickinson joined in. Of course it was left to the perpetually juvenille antics of one Mr. Janick Gers to make the day complete... having joined the MAIDEN camp for a light refreshment I needed to use the toilet. Being a well mannered young man I was leaving to use our bathroom when Jan said just to use his. Mid-flow I heard a commotion and was suddenly lifted high into the air, mid stream by a man in a PINK shirt — a very big man in a pink shirt. I was carried from the toilet out into the open on full display. 'That´ll teach yea ya bastid,' chuckled the MAIDEN guitarist. Mr. Gers has been receiving very early wake-up calls every day since...

"More later, fellow rawkers."

The new YNGWIE MALMSTEEN'S RISING FORCE album, "Unleash the Fury", will be released in North America on July 26, 2005, through Eagle Rock Entertainment's Spitfire Records.

"Unleash the Fury" has already received rave reviews since hitting the streets overseas. Malmsteen played all guitar and bass guitar parts on the album and "Cherokee Warrior" features his lead vocals as well. His RISING FORCE band includes White, keyboardist Joakim Svalberg and drummer Patrick Johansson.
