YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Frontman To Perform With RATA BLANCA In Madrid

February 24, 2006

Former RAINBOW and current YNGWIE MALMSTEEN/CORNERSTONE frontman Doogie White will join Argentine rockers RATA BLANCA on stage for a few songs during their headlining performance in Mardid, Spain on March 3.

Commented White: "I first met Walter Giardino [RATA BLANCA guitarist] when RAINBOW toured in Buenos Aires, Argentina and again when I went back with YNGWIE. Since then he has been to my house and we have shared an ale at the B+C. We have been talking about doing an album together for some time now but our schedules keep clashing, So when I was asked if I would like to go to Spain and get up and sing a few songs...well, how could I refuse. I am sure it will be fly-by wire stuff but that's what makes it fun. We have been kicking some ideas around between us for his Temple project but nothing solid yet. He plays really well and RATA have some classic tunes. I don't think my Spanish is up to this you know, maybe we will have to have a few old classics and some Spanish ale."
