10 YEARS: New Album Pushed Back To May

March 7, 2008

Knoxville, Tennessee's 10 YEARS has pushed back the release date of its second album, "Division", to May 13 from the previously announced April 8. According to the band, "it has taken us longer than we expected to finalize the artwork for the album but we are just about done now."

The first single from "Division" is called "Beautiful".

The new CD follows up the band's 2005 debut, "The Autumn Effect".

One tune on "Division", titled "Focus", was co-written with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS guitarist Dean DeLeo.

10 YEARS has started to unveil its first tour dates in support "Division". According to the band's MySpace page, the group will play a single date in Nashville on March 19 before beginning a stretch of headlining shows and radio festivals on April 11 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Drummer Brian Vodinh told The Pulse of Radio it's a great feeling to be able to play new songs on the road. "The bottom line is the new stuff is just fun to play," he said. "It's upbeat and, you know, every band goes through the whole same thing: when you tour behind an album for however long, even if it's just a year, it's just refreshing to bring out new stuff and, you know, have a different vibe onstage. We're really confident in the new material and I'll tell you, we'd better be after the nightmare it was to get this album done."
