WORLD UNDER BLOOD's Debut May Include Appearances By OBITUARY, ALL THAT REMAINS Members

October 6, 2007

CKY guitarist/vocalist Deron Miller has issued the following update on his melodic death metal side project WORLD UNDER BLOOD (also featuring Tim Yeung [DIVINE HERESY, VITAL REMAINS, HATE ETERNAL] on drums, Risha Eryavec [DECREPIT BIRTH] on bass, and Luke Jaeger on guitar):

"I can't tell you how happy I am to see WORLD UNDER BLOOD becoming so widely appreciated.

"Along with everyone else, I waited patiently for 'Under the Autumn Low' to be completed. The reason I had no problem waiting was because I knew Murphy [guitarist-turned-producer James Murphy; TESTAMENT, DEATH, OBITUARY] would do his best job ever mixing it and we all held out and we were right. The song fucking rules! James Murphy really came through on this track and now I realize that I have a stable team working together to make WORLD UNDER BLOOD's first album as sickening and dispicable as possible.

"Tim Yeung's amazing drumming is going to make our first CD as punishing as possible. Logan Mader is an amazing enigineer/producer and I feel very comfortable working with him. Risha is a fucking nut on stage.... I'm as pumped as can be, and Luke Jaeger is a phenomenal guitarist who will put us WAY above the competition.

"I can't wait for this album to come out. There are seven more songs being worked on and we will most likely be signing with the world's favorite METAL label in the next coming months. Of course, there will be cover songs recorded for the album that will feature my favorite MALEVOLENT CREATION favorites, among others. I also hope to get Brett Hoffmann [MALEVOLENT CREATION], John Tardy [OBITUARY], and Phil [Labonte] from ALL THAT REMAINS to do a brutal quartet vocal on one of the new songs coming up... 'Why Won't You Die?'"

WORLD UNDER BLOOD recently posted its third and "most aggressive" track so far, "Under the Autumn Low", on the band's MySpace page.

James Murphy previously stated about WORLD UNDER BLOOD: "WORLD UNDER BLOOD bridge a gap between genres that has never been bridged.... a few have tried with mixed results, but this is the first real resounding success of fusing brutal, blasting death metal with a melodic American rock vibe and it opens a door that will turn into a floodgate... I'm very happy to have been picked by Deron to mix this project ... he really pulls it together on this one musically and Tim's performance is stellar as well. Check it out!"

Deron Miller is widely credited for conceiving the long-awaited DEATH tribute project, "Within The Mind - In Homage To The Musical Legacy Of Chuck Schuldiner", as a means to help James Murphy raise money for his medical bills (Murphy is currently receiving treatment for a massive brain tumor with which he was diagnosed in August 2001).

The project, which has the blessing of the family of late DEATH mastermind Chuck Schuldiner (who passed away in December 2001 after a battle with pontine glioma, a rare type of brain tumor),has been in the works for the last few years and is expected to feature a number of special guest appearances, including those by members of SLIPKNOT, NEVERMORE, FEAR FACTORY, STATIC-X, and MALEVOLENT CREATION.

CKY is scheduled to release its fifth album in March/April 2008. It will be the group's first CD for Roadrunner Records worldwide.
