WORLD UNDER BLOOD: New Song Posted Online

WORLD UNDER BLOOD, the melodic death metal side project of CKY guitarist/vocalist Deron Miller, has finished mixing its third and "most aggressive" track so far, "Under the Autumn Low". Check it out on the band's MySpace page.

"Under the Autumn Low" comes off WORLD UNDER BLOOD's three-track promo recording which the group is currently using to procure a record deal. The songs "Under the Autumn Low", "God Among the Waste", and "Dead and Still in Pain" were laid down with the help of engineer Logan Mader (MACHINE HEAD, SOULFLY) while the mixing duties were handled by James Murphy (TESTAMENT, DEATH, OBITUARY).

Deron Miller (CKY): Guitar/Vocals
Risha Eryavec (DECREPIT BIRTH): Bass

According to a press release, WORLD UNDER BLOOD is "close to solidifying a recording contract with one of Deron's favorite labels of all time. Too early to tell because the deal is not confirmed, but regardless, the band's first full-length will be out without a doubt sometime late in 2008."

Commented Deron: "James Murphy has obviously grown and progressed tenfold as a mixer and we will definitely be utitlizing his services to not only mix the rest of our songs, but also remix the other two."

James Murphy stated: "WORLD UNDER BLOOD bridge a gap between genres that has never been bridged.... a few have tried with mixed results, but this is the first real resounding success of fusing brutal, blasting death metal with a melodic American rock vibe and it opens a door that will turn into a floodgate... I'm very happy to have been picked by Deron to mix this project ... he really pulls it together on this one musically and Tim's performance is stellar as well. Check it out!"

Deron Miller is widely credited for conceiving the long-awaited DEATH tribute project, "Within The Mind - In Homage To The Musical Legacy Of Chuck Schuldiner", as a means to help James Murphy raise money for his medical bills (Murphy is currently receiving treatment for a massive brain tumor with which he was diagnosed in August 2001).

The project, which has the blessing of the family of late DEATH mastermind Chuck Schuldiner (who passed away in December 2001 after a battle with pontine glioma, a rare type of brain tumor), has been in the works for the last few years and is expected to feature a number of special guest appearances, including those by members of SLIPKNOT, NEVERMORE, FEAR FACTORY, STATIC-X, and MALEVOLENT CREATION.

CKY is hard at work on its fifth album, to be released in March/April 2008. It will be the group's first release for Roadrunner Records worldwide.
