WOLFMOTHER: Australian Tour Announced

July 6, 2009

Australian retro-rock combo WOLFMOTHER will embark on the "New Moon Rising Tour" of Australia in September. Support on the trek will come from fresh-faced Brisbane rockers YVES KLEIN BLUE and recent Australian Music Prize winner, Sydney troubador JACK LADDER.

The dates are as follows:

Sep. 17 - Brisbane, The Tivoli
Sep. 19 - Sydney, The Enmore
Sep. 23 - Perth, Capitol
Sep. 24 - Adelaide, HQ Live
Sep. 25 - Melbourne, The Palace
Sep. 26 - Frankston, Pier Hotel

Tickets go on sale Friday, July 17 and each ticket sold will grant the bearer a free introductory membership into the new WOLFMOTHER official fanclub, The Wolfies.

WOLFMOTHER's second album, titled "Cosmic Egg", was recorded in Los Angeles with heralded U.K. producer Alan Moulder and is scheduled for release in October.

WOLFMOTHER will support AC/DC on their upcoming tour of Australia.

The group, which is now a quartet, played two low-key shows earlier in this year in its home country of Australia under the name WHITE FEATHER before playing a larger show as WOLFMOTHER.

Original WOLFMOTHER bassist Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett left the band last August over personal and musical differences with mainman Andrew Stockdale.

WOLFMOTHER's 2006 debut sold more than 500,000 copies in the U.S. and featured the Grammy-winning single "Woman".
