WITHIN TEMPTATION Pick Up Gold Certifications, Film 'Memories' Video

January 7, 2005

Holland's WITHIN TEMPTATION have posted the following update at their official web site:

"Only two months after the release of 'The Silent Force', WITHIN TEMPTATION's new album has already achieved gold status in Germany, Holland and Belgium. Its predecessor album 'Mother Earth' also reached gold in Germany, even platinum in Holland and stayed in the German album charts for staggering 30 weeks.

"Sharon and the guys didn't have much time to celebrate this great success. Yesterday the band went through an interesting but very long video shoot for the new single 'Memories'. The filming set was an old manor house near Berlin. Sharon had to perform in different rooms for almost 24 hours. The story is that she comes back to this mystical house where many of her memories become alive. When she enters the building she travels back in time.... the spooky location of a manor house which has been deserted since years and the romantic feeling of the song 'Memories' were a perfect match. On Within-Temptation.com you'll find some snaphots of video set.

"The release date for 'Memories' in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be end of January. For other countries we'll let you know a.s.a.p. The five-track single version for Germany will feature an unreleased song demo version as well as orchestral versions of some album songs and live versions from the legendary show at the Bataclan club in Paris in November.

"Immediately after the single release date WITHIN TEMPTATION will embark on their European tour, starting in Hamburg on February 1st."
