WITHIN TEMPTATION Looking Forward To 'Busy Fall'

August 30, 2007

Dutch symphonic, female-fronted metal band WITHIN TEMPTATION has issued the following update:

"Here are some updates on various places where we'll be playing this fall. We found out that we will be doing 121 shows and festivals in 2007, which truly is a band record. And still we haven't gotten to every continent and/or country, imagine that!

"This coming Saturday, we will be playing in Turkey for the first time, at the Rock'n Coke Festival in Istanbul. This is very exciting for us as Turkey is a country we haven't played in before. We can't wait to finally meet our Turkish fans.

"A few days later, we will be flying out to Boston to start our first North American headlining tour. Tickets are selling fast, so make sure you get your tickets in time. THE DEAR & DEPARTED will be support act on this tour, as well as a local opening act on each show. In other words: it'll be a great evening. We will be walking around to meet all of you, there will be merchandise, albums, etc.etc. We hope to see you all there, bring your friends and family as well! Also, we will be doing a short competition through Opendisc today, where you can win a private meet & greet or merchandise for each show. So make sure you're signed on!

"In October, we will be playing in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France. Germany has always been a special place for us and for all of these shows in October we're planning something special, more about that later! Opening acts at these shows will be THE 69 EYES and DELAIN, with the exception of Austria and Switzerland where THE 69 EYES will be the only support act.

"In November we'll be doing our biggest UK shows yet (with THE 69 EYES as well),which is also very cool and exciting. This will be a few days after our big solo show at the Beursgebouw in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, which will also be a very special gig. Another cool UK newsbit is that 'Mother Earth' will be re-released in the UK on September 24th! It will feature the original album, plus four live tracks. Make sure to get your copy once it becomes available!

"It'll be a busy fall, we look forward to seeing you all soon!"

WITHIN TEMPTATION will be joined by the Dutch Metropole Orchestra for a special concert at the Ahoy Stadium in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on February 7, 2008.

WITHIN TEMPTATION's "The Heart of Everything" sold 7,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 106 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's first U.S. release for Roadrunner Records, "The Heart of Everything" also topped the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
