WITHERING SURFACE: New Album Delayed

May 13, 2004

Danish metallers WITHERING SURFACE have pushed back the release date of their fourth album, "Force The Pace" (Scarlet) to June 14. The CD release party will now take place on June 18 at Loppen in Copenhagen.

"Force The Pace" (view cover here) was recorded at Antfarm Studio in Aarhus, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, MNEMIC, RAUNCHY). The track listing for the CD is as follows (in no particular order):

01. Gears (mp3 clip)
02. Inhale The Hyperpulse
03. State Of Emergency
04. This View (mp3 clip)
05. Urban Glasses
06. Hold The Line
07. Exit Sculpture
08. Anything Goes
09. Machinery
10. Force The Pace (mp3 clip)

The Japanese edition of "Force The Pace", due on June 23, will surface on King Records and will feature two bonus tracks, one of them being a cover of the classic "Future World" by fellow Danes PRETTY MAIDS.

WITHERING SURFACE were previously signed to the British record company Copro Records. Copro released the band's third album, "Walking On Phantom Ice", in the fall of 2001, but was not able to finance the recording of the group's follow-up effort, thus allowing the band to seek out a new label home.
