WINTER SOLSTICE Part Ways With Guitarist, Announce Replacement

Virginia-based metalcore act WINTER SOLSTICE have announced the departure of guitarist Roger Turner. "[Roger] is getting married and will be a grown-up soon," th band write on their web site. "We will definitely miss Roger, but we still have his identical twin JT playing guitar. Roger is being replaced by Caleb Goins, formerly of the amazing EVERYTHING FALLS TOGETHER from Lynchburg, VA. Those guys are awesome friends and we really appreciate them letting us have Caleb."

In other news, WINTER SOLSTICE have entered the studio to begin recording their full-length debut, "The Fall of Rome", tentatively due in early 2005 via Metal Blade Records. "Andreas Magnusson of SCARLET is producing the album, and he has us sounding better than ever," the band write. "We really cannot wait to hit the road in January, and get this record out."
