WIDOW: New Album Nearing Completion

September 15, 2004

Raleigh, NC-based melodic thrashers WIDOW are putting the finishing touches on their new album, "On Fire". "There have been some changes since [the debut album] 'Midnight Strikes'", stated lead guitarist Cristof. "We are pushing the boundaries of traditional metal! And we are drinking a whole lot!"

WIDOW have added drummer Marc Anthony from North Carolina band TRIBE to replace the recently departed Tim Haisman. "Marc is the perfect drummer for WIDOW," said Cristof. "The fire is burning brighter than ever!"

WIDOW's first performance with Marc Anthony will be on October 16 at the Martin Street Music Hall in Raleigh. Also appearing on the bill will be CONFESSOR.

Formed in 2000, WIDOW explore "the neo-classical side of heavy metal combined with their death metal roots," according to the band's official web site. MP3 samples from the group's first release, "Midnight Strikes" (Tribunal Records),are available for download at this location.

"On Fire" is expected to arrive early next year on Tribunal Records.
