WHITECHAPEL Signs With METAL BLADE RECORDS

Metal Blade Records has announced the signing of Knoxville, TN death/grind metal band WHITECHAPEL. The group's new album is tentatively due next year.

"We have all grown up listening to bands on Metal Blade so this is a dream come true for us," the group said in a statement. "We are grateful for the opportunity that Brian Slagel, Mike Faley, and everyone else at Metal Blade has given us, and are anxious to see what the future brings. Keep a look out for upcoming information about our debut release on Metal Blade as well as future tour plans. A big thanks to all of our fans, without you we could have never gone this far."

Added Mike Faley, President of Metal Blade Records: "WHITECHAPEL is an extreme metal band that conjures up the musical brutality of Jack the Ripper himself. With an impressive touring history and DIY attitude, WHITECHAPEL shows great potential for the future and we are pleased to have them on Metal Blade."

Formed in February of 2006, WHITECHAPEL quickly gained the attention of the underground scene in the U.S. and Europe with relentless touring and face-melting, neck-snapping tunes.
