WEHRWOLFE Confirm Singer's Departure: 'Our Weakest Link Has Been Eliminated'

February 5, 2004

Charlotte, North Carolina-based death metallers WEHRWOLFE have issued the following statement regarding the recent departure of vocalist Nathan Ellis (who has since joinedDAYLIGHT DIES):

"We apologize sincerely for the delayed updates, but we have been contending with issues that we can not tolerate as a band or even within daily life — treachery that this band will rise up against!

"We have been following a code of honour that we live by and convey with our music and deeds. We are brethren. We are comrades. We are a pack that will be moving on in the same direction, with the same if not more ferocity than before!

"In addition to his current role as bassist and lyricist, Devon has taken over the responsibilities of lead vocals. We have been belting out new material and everything is going smoothly. Our weakest link has been eliminated and nothing is lost as far as the band is concerned. The nucleus of WEHRWOLFE is still intact and unfettered. With the patience and perseverance of true brothers we are ready to move on with no remorse!

"And so this is a declaration to all of those who feel the same disdain in their hearts for such blasphemy. We will keep true to the path we have set with our words and song. But we shall also have revenge!"
