WEDNESDAY 13 has tapped Andrew Akelel (FU MANCHU, NO DOUBT, FOO FIGHTERS, RANCID, TIGER ARMY, TOOL, NINE INCH NAILS) to mix "Skeletons".

Commented Wednesday: "Originally, I had planned to mix the CD myself. However, given the opportunity to work with someone as talented as Andrew, I had to go with him. I am extremely excited to hear how he adds more life to these songs."

Wednesday 13 recently announced that he will forgo signing with a record label in North America and will self-release "Skeletons" and the "Bloodwork" EP this April.

Commented Wednesday 13, "We care about the music, the release and our fans. To a record label, we are a statistic. Record labels sign an endless number of bands each year, and they are never 100% focused on your project. After a long 4 1/2 months negotiating a worldwide deal with a label, we knew they would never give us the attention we needed. Each year, our touring base has gone up, but each year the record labels have been putting less CDs on the streets. The biggest complaint we heard for the past year and a half was that our fans couldn't find the CD. The record label would say there was no demand, the fans would complain they couldn't find the CD — and whenever we would have CDs on the road, we would sell out. We know our fans, we know where they shop and we want to be able to give back to them."

Horror High, LLC has set a February 5, 2008 U.S. release date for Wednesday 13's video project "Weirdo-A-Go-Go". "Weirdo-A-Go-Go" features the campy and morbid sense of humor that any fans of Wednesday 13 can expect. In the first two episodes, Wednesday 13 hosts clips and trailers of cheap horror flicks, along with performing schlocky but witty skits with his strange and wacky sidekicks. The program promises to resurrect the tradition of Saturday morning TV shows that Wednesday 13 grew up on — the random creations of Sid and Marty Krofft and Pee Wee's Playhouse mixed with the comedic approach of horror hosts Commander USA, Elvira, and Zacherely. The project was shot by Rafa of Core Entertainment, Inc.Rafa is most noted for the video and web site projects he has done for AVENGED SEVENFOLD, EVANESCENCE, ROB ZOMBIE, DISTURBED, STATIC-X and the Dimebag tribute bracelet.
