W.A.S.P.: Drummer STET HOWLAND Rejoins The Fold

April 22, 2004

Drummer Stet Howland has officially rejoined W.A.S.P.Howland's first appearance back with the group will take place early next month when the band launch the European headlining tour to promote their brand-new CD, "The Neon God: Part One – The Rise" CD, out now on Sanctuary Records.

When contacted by Blackie Lawless a few weeks ago regarding his availability to join W.A.S.P. for yet another jaunt around the world in support of the new album, it initially appeared as though Stet would be unable to set aside the time required for such a monumental event due to his extremely busy schedule. Despite the scheduling conflicts, Stet and W.A.S.P. have now officially reunited.

In an interview with Bill Allaire (KroniKsoniX Studios and Web Productions),Stet revealed how he arrived at his decision.

"After much consideration I realized that I could not disappoint the fans, the band and the man that has helped me to become who I am today," he said. "W.A.S.P. has been and continues to be the best vehicle to worldwide stardom a man could ask for. I love playing these tunes… the band is hot, I love all of W.A.S.P.'s fans — they are the best fans on the planet and I can't wait to get out there and rock their heads off… Really, the fans are where it's at. Without them, my success as a musician would have been limited, and a lot less fun."

Asked what clinched the deal for him, Stet said, "Last week, while I was talking with [W.A.S.P. mainman] Blackie [Lawless] concerning the details of the tour, he told me how much he and the guys missed me — this band is part of my family...and if there's one thing my mother taught me, it's that you don't turn your back on family. Besides, I realized how much I truly missed them as well. It's like going home after an all too long absence. It's great to be home."

For the past two years, Stet Howland has called Ft. Myers Beach, Florida home. There he constructed the Bad Dogs recording studios and also assembled a band called THE HOWLIN' DOGS which perform several shows per week in the Southwest Florida area. More recently, Stet's attention has been directed to his latest endeavor, CARNIVAL OF SOULS. Stet joined this modern metal rock band out of the New York/New Jersey area a few months ago. The band has been recording at Bad Dogs Studios and just shot the first of several videos for their upcoming release, "Ashes to Ashes", due out later in the year. Stet will dig back into CARNIVAL OF SOULS as soon as the W.A.S.P. tour has finished up.
