VOLBEAT: More New Audio Samples Available

August 19, 2008

Danish metal rock 'n' rollers VOLBEAT have posted audio samples of two new songs — "We" and "Wild Rover Of Hell" — on their MySpace page. The band says, "It's not easy to choose which songs [from the forthcoming CD, 'Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood'] are best or which one we should play for you, so we closed our yes and pointet on the track list and these two songs came up."

The groups adds: "'Wild Rover Of Hell' is kind of a tribute to METALLICA. It's like VOLBEAT going back to some old metal roots of what we have been inspired of since day one, and METALLICA has been a great inspiration. The METALLICA name is also mentioned in the lyrcis if you listen.

"'We' is a song that's very much inspired by some country stuff (thanx J.R. CASH),but with some up tempo heavy guitars and beating drums."

VOLBEAT will take part in a signing session on September 1 at Fona 2000 on Strøget in Copenhagen, Denmark from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The first 100 fans that show up to the event will receive a free shirt.

"Maybelenne i Hofteholder", the new video from VOLBEAT, can be viewed below. The song comes off the group's third studio album, "Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood", which is scheduled for release on September 1 via Mascot Records. The follow-up to "Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil" features 14 new tracks, including a SOCIAL DISTORTION cover as a bonus cut on all editions. Seven of the songs share a common lyrical theme, which will be continued on future records, and the artwork is also based on this storyline. The CD was recorded at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen, who also worked with the group on its previous two records.
