Video: MEGADETH's DAVID ELLEFSON Performs Acoustic Version Of 'Symphony Of Destruction' With RON KEEL BAND

November 19, 2017

MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson returned to his former hometown of Jackson, Minnesota on Saturday, November 18 for a special end-of-the-year/birthday celebration at Kat's Hog Heaven, the newest Ellefson Coffee Co. retail location. Located at 608 2nd St, Kat's is the pride of Jackson, serving a full BBQ dining menu, and now serving and selling Ellefson Coffee Co. coffee and merchandise. Additionally, Kat's is displaying various items from Ellefson's Museum Of Deth, featuring memorabilia from Ellefson's life and career.

Also appearing was legendary rocker Ron Keel, whose RON KEEL BAND has signed a deal with EMP Outlaw, the new southern rock/outlaw country imprint of Ellefson's EMP Label Group. Keel performed and took part in a special meet-and-greet with Ellefson.

The event also marked the release of Ellefson Coffee Co.'s Jackson House Blend, a conservatively priced entry-level addition to the ECC coffee lineup.

Video footage of Ellefson and RON KEEL BAND performing an acoustic cover version of MEGADETH's "Symphony Of Destruction" at yesterday's celebration can be seen below.

"You miss a lot of what a town really is when you just drive by on a four-lane interstate," Ellefson told WCCO about the importance of bringing the Ellefson Coffee Co. brand back to his hometown. "So part of what our venture is here is to partner with the local businesses so we can bring people off the local freeway to bring them in to really get and feel the heart and soul of the people."
