Video: MEGADETH's DAVID ELLEFSON Celebrates 51st Birthday In Manchester

November 13, 2015

MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson celebrated his 51st birthday backstage before the band's November 12 concert in Manchester, England. Video footage of the celebrations, as posted on MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's account on Periscope, a live video streaming platform owned by Twitter, can be seen below.

As previously reported, MEGADETH is rumored to be teaming up with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, CHILDREN OF BODOM and HAVOK for a U.S. tour in early 2016. The four-band package, which will tentatively launch in February, will mark MEGADETH's first U.S. run of dates in support of its new album, "Dystopia", slated for release in January.

Denver, Colorado thrashers HAVOK, who last year signed with Century Media, are managed by Justis Mustaine, the 23-year-old son of MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine.

The follow-up to 2013's "Super Collider", "Dystopia" was recorded earlier in the year in Nashville, Tennessee and was mixed by Josh Wilbur, who has previously worked with LAMB OF GOD, ALL THAT REMAINS and GOJIRA.
