VELVET REVOLVER To Film 'The Last Fight' Video This Week

VELVET REVOLVER will film the video for its new single, "The Last Fight", on Thursday, August 2 in the Los Angeles area.

According to the "The Last Fight" casting call sheet, the production team is seeking a lead girl (age 20-25, beautiful, Caucasian, model type, Eastern European appearance) and couples (all ethnicities) with "interesting and unique faces" to be featured in the background.

Cast interviews were scheduled to be held Tuesday, July 31.

"The Last Fight" is the second single from VELVET REVOLVER's "Libertad" album. The track will go for radio adds on August 20.

VELVET REVOLVER's sophomore album, "Libertad", sold 93,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to land at position No. 5 on The Billboard chart. This is a little over one-third of the 256,000 first-week tally registered by its predecessor, "Contraband", which landed at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart back in June 2004.

The first single from "Libertad" was "She Builds Quick Machines". Watch the promotional video for the song at YouTube.

VELVET REVOLVER begins a North American tour with ALICE IN CHAINS on August 5 in Baltimore.
