VEIL OF MAYA: '[id]' First-Week Sales Revealed

"[id]", the new album from Chicago-based metallers VEIL OF MAYA, sold around 5,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 1 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"[id]" was released on April 6 via Sumerian Records. The CD was produced by Michael Keene (THE FACELESS),who previously worked with the group on its last album, 2008's "The Common Man's Collapse".

VEIL OF MAYA recently announced plans to film a video for the track "Unbreakable" with director Scott Hansen (A DAY TO REMEMBER, BURY YOUR DEAD). The clip is expected to make its online debut in early May.
