VATICAN, the Montreal-based project featuring former members ION DISSONANCE, UNQUINTESSENCE, TRAILS OF ANGUISH, NÉFASTÜS DIÈS, THE CRIMSON SYNDICATE and DOPETHRONE, has inked a deal with Galy Records for the release of the band's "Shotgun Evangelium" mini-CD. The group says, "We're planing the release of the first opus around April-May, and we're stoked to announce that we'll boost things up with more live appearances and most surely a follow-up full-length record soon (hopefully!)"

VATICAN's music was previously described as a mixture of "dirty black metal and hardcore rock mayhem. . . [It] is as diverse as it is concise in its approach... to broaden and furthermore bring together extreme branches of the underground, into one very concrete manifestation."
