URKRAFT To Ink New Record Deal, Begin Work On Sophomore Album

May 1, 2005

Danish thrash/death metallers URKRAFT have posted the following message on their official web site:

"We have been working hard through the last six months trying to come up with some new material for our next album. So far we have finished 10 tracks of very hard-hitting and more old-school metal. Expect somewhat the same style of melodic death/thrash metal as on our debut album from 2004, 'Eternal Cosmic Slaughter'. But add to this more speed, more groove, more brutality, more noise and an even darker feel. These last few months have resulted in music we are looking very much forward to record this summer and especially release in the fall.

"We can't tell you much, but I guess the rumors are spreading. We have ended our coorporation with Cartel Media, who released the 'Eternal Cosmic Slaughter' album. While writting new material we have also been dealing with a new label and are almost ready to make the new contract official, but we will wait for them to let the world know abut it.

"The next album will be recorded at the Antfarm Studio in July and August, but there is no official release date or month read yet."

URKRAFT will make their next live appearance at The Rock in Copenhagen, Denmark on May 13. Also appearing on the bill will be Sweden's ORIGIN BLOOD.

URKRAFT's debut album, "Eternal Cosmic Slaughter", was recorded at Antfarm Studios in Århus, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen (MNEMIC, RAUNCHY, 2TON PREDATOR).
