'Unholy Alliance Tour' Featuring SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD: Vancouver Show Filmed For Upcoming DVD

July 14, 2006

According to a BLABBERMOUTH.NET visitor who calls himself "DeadSkin Mask", the July 13 stop of the "Unholy Alliance Tour" — featuring headliners SLAYER, alongside LAMB OF GOD, MASTODON, CHILDREN OF BODOM and THINE EYES BLEED — at General Motors Place in Vancouver, British Columbia was filmed for an upcoming DVD. "There was a camera mounted on a crane that swooped over top of the crowd and worked a lot of close-ups on the band members," he writes. "There was also cameramen to both sides of the stage, another one behind the drum kit, and another cameraman located in the middle of the floor right on the edge of the pit (with security guard escorts on both sides of him).

"[It was a] great show," he continues. "All the bands made mention of the DVD being filmed, and all the bands were on top of their game (probably for that reason). SLAYER also played 'Eyes of the Insane', which I don't think they have been playing on this tour. It was probably so they could have at least one more new song on the DVD (along with 'Cult')."

The American leg of the "Unholy Alliance Tour" is scheduled to conclude on July 26 in Denver, Colorado. A European version of the trek — dubbed "Unholy Alliance Chapter II: Preaching To The Perverted" — will feature SLAYER alongside IN FLAMES, LAMB OF GOD, CHILDREN OF BODOM and THINE EYES BLEED.
