ULTIMATUM: 'Into The Pit' Finally Sees Light Of Day

October 13, 2007

Long-running Christian metallers ULTIMATUM have just released their fourth full-length album, "Into the Pit", via Retroactive Records. Four songs from the CD can be heard on the band's MySpace page.

According to a press release, "Into the Pit" is ULTIMATUM's "first offering of new material in six years. Few and far between are the bands that progress with each release without changing or modernizing their sound. These new songs are metal anthems, their most dynamic yet! They've never sounded heavier, and seem to have cranked the knobs to '11' for this one! Guitarist Robert Gutierrez fills every track with fiery, blowtorch riffs and scorching solos. Vocalist Scott Waters far exeeds his commendable efforts on previous albums, sounding every bit as brilliant as thrash legend Roger Martinez (VENGEANCE RISING). If you like old-school technical thrash metal in the vein of VENGEANCE RISING, TOURNIQUET, METALLICA, early MEGADETH, EXODUS, SLAYER, OVERKILL, and FORBIDDEN, this one's for you."

"Into the Pit" track listing:

01. Heart of Metal
02. Into the Pit (Instrumental)
03. One For All
04. Blood Covenant
05. Blind Faith
06. Exonerate
07. Transgressor
08. Wrathchild (IRON MAIDEN cover)
09. Blink
