WarCrime Records has unveiled the new vinyl reissue of the seminal 1999 hardcore classic "The Process Of" from the Philadelphia band TURMOIL. "The Process Of" is limited to 600 copies — 100 on red, 200 on white, and 300 on 180-gram virgin black vinyl.

According to Lambgoat.com, TURMOIL vocalist and founding member Jon Gula has just left the group.

TURMOIL signed with Eulogy Recordings in February 2007 and is said to be nearly done recording a new full-length album, which previously had a working title of "The International Language of...".

Commented Gula: "TURMOIL has been a big part of life for many years, essentially half of my life. I really wish I could, but I just can't devote 100% of myself to TURMOIL anymore. I've got too many things to tend to right now, and I didn't think it would be fair to our fans, or to the rest of the band, to delay the inevitable."

Gula added that isn't sure how the group will proceed in his absence. "I'll understand if they carry on with someone else," he said. "I'm not sure if I would call it 'TURMOIL' going forward, but I support whatever decision they make. Obviously, they've got to do what's right for them."

Tracking for TURMOIL's first LP since "The Process Of" took place at Skylight Studios in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, with Vince Ratti (THE MINOR TIMES, A LIFE ONCE LOST) engineering.
