TRAP THEM To Release 'Darker Handcraft' In March

"The Facts", a brand new song from Seattle's TRAP THEM, is available for streaming at BrooklynVegan.com. The track comes off the band's upcoming album, "Darker Handcraft", which is scheduled for release via Prosthetic Records on March 1 on vinyl and March 15 on CD and digital. The effort was recorded at Godcity Studio with Kurt Ballou (CONVERGE, DISFEAR, BLACK BREATH). The cover artwork and layout was designed by Justin Bartlett (SUNN 0))), THE FUNERAL PYRE).

Prosthetic Records has launched the official pre-order for "Darker Handcraft" at the label's official webstore. The limited-edition LP has a gatefold cover, comes with a digital download card and will be available on black, red, gray and white vinyl. The LP and CD are both available for pre-order, now, as well as two brand new, exclusive, t-shirt designs.

TRAP THEM will play two free "Scion Metal Matinee" shows this weekend, in Chicago and Los Angeles. The band will perform in Manhattan and in Brooklyn next weekend, and there will be more North American tour plans announced shortly. They will also be heading to Europe in April with ROTTEN SOUND, GAZA, THE KANDIDATE and HAUST.

TRAP THEM's sound combines elements of old-school Swedish death metal, punk, and d-beat and takes influence from such bands as ENTOMBED, BLACK FLAG, NASUM and TRAGEDY. The group has toured with the likes of NAPALM DEATH, DISFEAR, SKELETONWITCH, VICTIMS, ROTTEN SOUND, TOXIC HOLOCAUST and EVERY TIME I DIE, among others, and played the Scion Rock Fest, Maryland Deathfest and the New England Metal And Hardcore Festival. The band previously released two full-lengths and several seven-inch singles and EPs through the Southern Lord, Deathwish Inc. and Trash Art labels.
