TOMMY LEE: In Writing Mode

February 10, 2003

TOMMY LEE bassist Marty O'Brien has posted the following update via the message board of the unofficial LEE web site www.joysmayhem.com:

"Both Tommy and I are just spending lots of time at home writing new songs... He's up at Tommyland in the big studio working on new stuff, and I'm over at uh… Martyland?… working on the Marty-mini-studio on my own stuff.. Not sure if any of my ideas will end up as TOMMY LEE songs, but you never know. I've gone up to Tommyland a few times to lay down some bass on some TOMMY LEE demos, and even some new Mayte [Garcia, Lee's fiancée] songs that she is writing.. Both sound amazing!

"In other news, since TOMMY LEE is in writing mode and not touring, I'm taking advantage of the time off, and you can be sure to see me touring my ass off around the world with whoever wants me to join their band…

"In 2 weeks I'll be touring in Japan, playing in a new band called POPULATION-1 [fronted by former EXTREME guitarist Nuno Bettencourt]."

Confirmed POPULATION-1 Japanese tour dates are as follows:

Feb. 25 - Nagoya, JAP @ Club Quattro
Feb. 26 - Osaka, JAP @ On Air Osaka
Feb. 27 - Hiroshima, JAP @ Club Quattro
Mar. 01 - Tokyo, JAP @ Asasaka Blitz
Mar. 02 - Kawasaki, JAP @ Club Citta
