TOKYO BLADE: New Lineup Revealed

January 6, 2008

According to Metalzone.gr, the new lineup of the reactivated NWOBHM legends TOKYO BLADE will include founding lead guitarist Andy Boulton, former ARREST lead guitarist Bryan Holland, current OVERLOADED vocalist Chris Gillen, drummer Lorenzo Gonzalez and ex-MINDCANDY bassist Frank Saparti.

TOKYO BLADE, known for such metal anthems as "Midnight Rendezvous", "Night Of The Blade" and "If Heaven Is Hell", has reformed and is currently booking a European tour with confirmed dates in November 2008 on the NWOBHM Festival II in Athens, Greece (November 8) and the Keep It True festival in Germany (November 14). The band recently started rehearsals with an eye on writing and recording a new studio album.

"This is the band that TOKYO BLADE never was and always should have been!" original founding guitarist Andy Boulton recently stated. Added guitarist Bryan Holland, "The first rehearsal was simply unbelievable; the classic TOKYO BLADE songs are so heavy and powerful. It's going to be unreal when we get onstage and then into the studio."
