TIGERTAILZ To Reissue Early Classics Through SANCTUARY

January 29, 2005

TIGERTAILZ, the Welsh band that would prove to be Britain's only real serious contenders in the '80s glam rock stakes, have secured a record deal with Sanctuary Records for the reissue of their classic "Bezerk" and "Banzai" albums.

The release dates are scheduled for May/June this year and both albums will have new artwork done by bassist Pepsi Tate. While the front covers will look the same, there will be a re-work of the inside sleeve design containing unreleased photos of the band. Also, both albums will each feature a new bonus track; "Bezerk" will feature the original version of "Love Junkie" and "Banzai" will have the song "Love Can Kill". Both songs are the unreleased versions from the original "Wazbones" recordings in 1992.

The Kim Hooker-fronted version of TIGERTAILZ, which also includes Tate, guitarist Jay Pepper and drummer Mic Hourihan from death metal band DESECRATION, are tentatively scheduled to play a few live dates this summer.

As previously reported, a different version of TIGERTAILZ, featuring original members Steevi Jaimz (vocals) and Ace Finchum (drums),have been confirmed as the headliners of the Glam Attack Festival on March 27 in Turin, Italy.

This version of TIGERTAILZ features former WRAITH guitarist Greg "Gregz" Russell on bass, ex-TATTOOED LOVE BOYS guitarist Darayus Kaye and former SIAM guitarist Marcus Thurston. The group included the track "King of the World" on a Perris Records"Hollywood Hairspray" compilation. A new album is underway.
