THE WICKED Hard At Work On Sophomore Album

March 19, 2004

THE WICKED, the Finnish band consisting of FINNTROLL and MOONSORROW members, are currently recording their second album at Jive Studio in Helsinki. The follow-up to 2002's "…For Theirs Is The Flesh" "takes the listeners to a journey through industrial as well as classical soundscapes, flavouring it with a disturbing horror movie feeling," according to an official press release. "Some suggestions towards symphonic black metal are also present, but that's only the beginning."

Commented producer Henri Sorvali: "If a Tim Burton movie was enveloped in metal and fed to a dragon, which would excrete it as a spaceship piloted by Frank Zappa, we would be nearing the appropriate description. The studio process has been the most unbelievable [that] I've ever witnessed!"

The album, which features a guest appearance by SINERGY frontwoman Kimberly Goss, is due out in June. A new web site will be launched in conjunction with the promotion later this spring.
