THE SWORD: 'Freya' Single To Coincide With CLUTCH U.K. Tour

March 8, 2007

Dynamic Austin, Texas-based quartet THE SWORD has announced U.K. tour dates in support of their critically acclaimed album, "Age of Winters". THE SWORD will team up with heralded hard rock unit CLUTCH for a string of live dates set to launch April 3. The band will perform live in London on April 8 at the Mean Fiddler.

To coincide with the tour, THE SWORD will issue a new single and video for the song "Freya" (from "Age of Winters"). A special "Freya" tour 7" will also be pressed, strictly limited to 1000 copies and backed with a live version of the monolithic "Age of Winters" track "Iron Swan", recorded live at New York City's infamous CBGBs just prior to the historic venue's closing. The striking "Freya" video was shot on HD film using a unique mixture of black and white and color, and details the story of "Freya", who "appears on a battlefield after a battle and wanders through the corpses looking for warriors to take back to Folkvang." A still shot from "Freya" can be viewed at this location.
