THE RODS To Headline BINGHAMTON AREA METALFEST

The original lineup of THE RODS — the classic '80s metal band led by Ronnie James Dio's (DIO, BLACK SABBATH, HEAVEN & HELL) cousin, guitarist David "Rock" Feinstein — will headline the first annual BAM! (Binghamton Area Metalfest),set to take place September 12 at The Country Pines (Summer Stage) in Endicott, New York.

The festival billing is shaping up as follows:

THE RODS was scheduled to shoot its very first HD-DVD at the legendary The Haunt nightclub in Ithaca, New York on May 16. This performance was in support of THE RODS' forthcoming CD, "Vengeance", which features Ronnie James Dio's vocals on selected tracks. The show was also a precursor to the band's appearance at Headbangers Open Air in Germany.

THE RODS' lineup includes Feinstein on guitar/vocals, Garry Bordonaro on bass and Carl Canedy on drums.
